The Swedish Radio Choir Conductors Workshop – for a new generation of choir conductors

The Swedish Radio Choir is looking ahead as a driving force in the development of Swedish choral life and the education of excellent choral conductors. Therefore, it is now initiating a learning project where a number of choir conductors will have the opportunity to develop together with the ensemble over the course of a week. The week ends with an informal concert where the participants lead the Radio Choir.

• We are looking for you who:
– are in ongoing music education, or ended your music studies within the last two years
– are living in Sweden, or are a Swedish citizen
– are a choir conductor

The Radio Choir was formed at the same time as the Swedish Radio, and is an important part of its cultural creation activities. For almost 100 years, the Radio Choir has spread the Swedish choir sound throughout the world and is now internationally recognized for its recordings and concerts. With this project, the Radio Choir wants to honor, fortify and highlight the choir tradition that the choir itself is part of, and ensure that it lives on.
