Baltic Sea Day
The Baltic Sea Festival celebrates Baltic Sea Day 2023 in the presence of H. R. H. Crown Princess Victoria. The evening begins with a talk by Claudia Lindén on the myth of the bear in Swedish, Finnish and Estonian national-romantic literature. The Swedish Radio Choir, conducted by Kaspars Putniņš, will then offer first performances of works by Mirjam Tally, Jesper Nordin and Johannes Pollak in which trumpet and kantele have important roles. Also on the programme are Jan Sandström’s Biegga luohte and Ingvar Lidholm’s …a riveder le stelle.
